Pavel Wieden founded the company FENESTRA WIEDEN in 1991. In 2019, the company was expanded through the purchase of SKANSKA façade division and renamed WIEDEN.
Research and development of innovative solutions has always been a key area for the company. In 2010 we completed first taylor made wood-aluminium facade. In 2019, the development of unitized fully wooden façade system began. Due to potential application beyond WIEDEN was this R&D project separated into the company WIEDEN WOOD in 2023.
WIEDEN WOOD has succesfully completed the development, testing and certification of a new high-performance wood-based façade system that will become a new brand in the façade systems market in its own right. No subsidies or third-party grant programs were used in its development process.
Compared to existing solutions, it brings significant improvements in thermal performance, a massive reduction in CO2 footprint and the use of locally sourced materials.
